Let's Play, Pants are Good, and what's to come for Wintendo.

Hey there everyone. I'm still chugging away at games. I'm pretty shit at posting, but, well, if you know me then you already know that. I'm getting ready to do a Let's Play of Super Alfred Chicken, and to help me get into that, I did a test LP on Megaman X's first level. Watch it here:

So what's to come of Wintendo, you ask? You didn't? Oh... Well, I'm going to tell you anyway! I'm going to play more SNES games, and review more SNES games. I'm going to stop promising and start trying to post more. Usually when I'm not posting, I'm not really that busy, I'm more of just cruising the internet for any old thing. D: So I've no real excuse. I'm also going to make a new template for the site, and it will probably be similar to my girlfriend Rho's blog, For Pew, Pews and Fail, which you can find by clicking that link. We're sister blogs, honest. So there you have it, this is what I'm planning and I hope some of you out there still listen to me. And if not, then, well. I don't blame you. :P

Alas, unhand ye fair maiden...

...or some other title that makes more sense! Well, I promised you guys, and I'm back. Not after a week, no, no, more like after two months. See! I don't lie. The reason I was away was because my girlfriend was visiting from Switzerland, and the reason I'll be going back to posting is because she's going back to school in the UK. Yeah, right. Tears. More info on that can be found here. I would say sorry about the time not spent here, but I wouldn't mean it. :D

Nooooooooooooooooo! Not my post count!

Well, I have good news, and I have bad news. Let's start with the bad news quick, get that Band-Aid off quick. 7th Saga. Sucks. Massive. T#$s. And, once again, I lost my save game. So it will be a little bit until I get back on track with 7th Saga. I know, I know, bummer. But now for the good news!

I have two other games finished for my list over these two months. The first one is a special one in my heart, as it is one of my all time favorites. The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, or Zelda 3 as it is more commonly referred to, has been vanquished. But in a nice and fuzzy sort of vanquished, sort of like when you kick a puppy out a window. But no time for my junior year in high school now, on to more information about Zelda 3.

Zelda 3 is a beautiful ARPG on the Super Nintendo that came out in 1992 here in the US of A. My next post will be a quasi-walkthrough/final analysis on it that may be split into two parts just for fun.

The second game I finished was kind of a fun one for me. I love Final Fantasy V with a passion, and it's my favorite of the series. However, up until seven years past its release date (1992) it wasn't officially available outside of Japan. It wasn't until my first year of high school that I came into contact with a ROM hack of the original game simply translating it to English, and man, was I floored. I will elaborate on this in a post similiar to the one on Zelda 3. Instead of simply replaying the game over, I decided to play the re-release Game Boy Advance version to judge the differences.

Well, there you have it. Two months, two games down, and noooooooo posts. Dingbang is saddened, but he's back on the job! And remember kids, now's not the time for memories.
